    US Visa

What size is a US visa photo?
    A square JPEG between 600 x 600 and 1200 x 1200 pixels, 240 KB or less, in sRGB color. In print it is 2 x 2 inches. This tool exports 600 x 600 px.
Does this work for DS-160 and DS-260?
Yes. Both online forms use the State Department digital photo requirements.
Can I upload a photo with a colored background?
Yes. The tool replaces the background with plain white (visa photos only; US passport photos must stay unedited). For best results use a photo where you face the camera directly and your whole head is visible.
How do I know my head is the right size?
The head must be 50% to 69% of the photo height. The tool shows the live percentage and marks the top of your head and chin on the preview.
Can I wear glasses in a US visa photo?
Generally no. Glasses are not allowed except in rare medical cases with a signed statement.
