Frequently asked questions

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. Your PDF is opened, edited and saved entirely inside your own browser. It is never sent to us.
Is it free?
Opening, editing and previewing are free. Downloading the finished PDF may need a small one-time pass, and the price is shown before you pay. You never need an account.
Is a signature made here legally valid?
In the United States the ESIGN Act and UETA generally recognize electronic signatures for most contracts, but some documents, such as wills or certain court and government forms, have special rules. A picture of your signature is a simple electronic signature, not a certified digital signature. Check with the person or office receiving the document. This is not legal advice.
Can I edit text that is already in the PDF?
You can add new text, and cover old text with white-out and type over it. Re-flowing existing paragraphs is not supported, because most PDFs do not store text that way.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. Remove the password in the program that created the file, then open it here.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Draw your signature with your finger, tap to place it, and drag to move or resize it.
Can I save my signature?
If you tick "Remember on this device", your signature is stored only in this browser so you can reuse it. You can remove it any time.
