    How to take a good pet ID photo

    • Shoot in daylight, at your pet's eye level, from about 1 meter away
    • Use a plain light blanket or wall behind the pet, and ask a helper to hold the treat just above the camera so the pet looks at the lens
    • Show the whole head and shoulders with both ears visible and eyes open
    • Keep leashes, hands and toys out of the picture
    • Take many photos and pick the sharpest

    Is my pet's photo uploaded?
    No. The photo is processed in your browser by an on-device AI model and never sent to a server.
    Will it work for cats, dogs and other animals?
    It works best for cats and dogs photographed face-on. It separates the animal from the background, centers it and sizes it to fill the frame. Use the Touch up brush to clean fur edges.
    How do I get my pet to look at the camera?
    Ask a helper to hold a treat just above the camera, shoot at your pet's eye level in daylight, and take many photos.
    Can I print the photos?
    Yes. Download the 4x6 sheet with six 2 x 2 inch photos at 300 dpi and print it at any photo shop.
